In 1995, Elaine founded HyperGold Web Services, specializing in technical, design and marketing development on the Internet. Her vision was, and is, to provide technical, design, and marketing expertise to businesses, emphasizing good customer service, a very necessary but often missing piece in the puzzle of Internet service companies.

Her life prior to HyperGold included fourteen years with Names In The News, one of the oldest and most respected direct marketing firms in the Bay Area. From 1989 through 1995, she served as President.
